RGV Didn’t Direct Vangaveeti?
Director Ram Gopal Varma has reportedly skipped the principal shoot of his upcoming film Vangaveeti. Touted to be a film based on Vangaveeti Ranga, a slain Kapu leader from Vijayawada who was brutally murdered by his opponents way back in 1988, the film has been in news ever since RGV announced it. Despite that RGV shown a great interest on the film in public and even openly stated that it would be his last film in Telugu, it’s rumoured that the maverick director hasn’t really worked enough on the film and indeed depended on his assistants to direct crucial portions of the film.
“RGV has monitored the most part of the film’s shoot by coordinating with his assistants on phone. Only once in a while he was present on the sets and rest of the times, his assistants have wielded the megaphone,” divulged a source in the know. The source added that RGV has wrapped up the film. While the recently released trailer got good response, it needs to be seen how the film has shaped up. Producer Dasari Kiran Kumar has shelled out a huge money on this political period film.
Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma is prepping up for his up next film Sarkaar 3 with Amitabh Bachchan. The film is expected to start the shooting from October 17. Looks like, Varma has already made up his mind and decided to move onto his next.
